Call out for schools in the North East

We are delighted to have secured funding from the Reece Foundation to deliver physics CPD training to non-specialist physics teachers in the North East. We are now inviting schools to apply to be one of the 18 schools supported through this funding.

Physics Partners will deliver a series of topic based training sessions, both online and face-to-face, using locally based trainers or ‘hub’ schools. The sessions will provide engaging practical activities supported by sound learning approaches, designed to further develop participant’s confidence in physics teaching in both key stage 3 and key stage 4. We also intend to build a lasting coalition of physics supports with the schools and trainers involved.

“Inexperienced staff have been given the confidence to teach physics in an engaging and challenging way.”

Andrew Griffin, Federation Consultant for Science, Harris Federation
