We are pleased to announce that Tommy Cookson, our Physics Partners Chairman, has been awarded an MBE for services to education in the 2022 New Year’s Honours List.
Tommy has had a long and distinguished career in education. He is a founding trustee of Physics Partners and has served as Chairman since 2007. The charity has flourished under Tommy’s leadership and we are delighted his significant career has been recognised in this way.
In the past decade Tommy’s leadership and dedication has taken Physics Partners from supporting 10 schools to now supporting over 250, and he has been pivotal in working with the Girls Schools Association to encourage more girls from state schools to study A-Level Physics.
With his usual modesty, Tommy has credited the help of many individuals and organisations with the success of Physics Partners, but in truth he has been, and continues to be, a key driving force.
