Physics Partners has three new hubs in Manchester; Manchester North, Manchester Central and Manchester South. The hubs support non-specialist teachers to improve their confidence in delivering engaging physics lessons. The hubs also link up with local industry to bring STEM careers to life for both teachers and pupils.
The Manchester South Hub provides support to anyone wishing to improve their physics teaching practice and share knowledge with others in the Trafford area of Manchester. Sessions will be hosted in School – location to be confirmed. ECTs, non-specialists, and specialists welcome.
We run regular online and face-to-face sessions with a focus on a key curriculum area. Sessions cover:
- Performing the required practical work
- Basic concepts
- Student misconceptions
- Learning methods
- Classroom activities
