We use a cadre of trainers drawn from the independent and state school sectors as well as self-employed consultants -some of these are also trainers for the IOP. The key criteria for prospective trainers is that they should be confident and experienced physics teachers who can deliver effective professional learning to non-specialists. If you are teaching in school, it would be helpful to secure the agreement of your Head teacher to ensure that you can be available to deliver training sessions and when necessary, utilise the school’s practical equipment that might be needed for training sessions.
