New Physics Hub consultations – have your say!

We are excited to announce a series of consultation sessions to launch new Physics hubs across the UK! With upcoming online meetings for Bedford, Milton Keynes, Darlington, Luton, Maidstone, and Warrington, these sessions offer an invaluable opportunity for teachers and technicians to help shape Physics support networks in their regions.

About the Physics Partners Hubs

Physics Partners has built a strong model of regional “hubs,” where a central school in each area hosts after-school sessions tailored to the needs of local educators. Each hub focuses on:

  • Addressing complex Physics topics such as electromagnetism, forces, energy, and waves
  • Building expertise in required practicals
  • Developing confidence and competence for technicians in their essential roles

In addition to building Physics expertise, each hub connects teachers with local industries and fosters a collaborative network of teachers who can share insights and strategies within the Physics teaching community. Our hubs are particularly useful for non-specialists teachers, Initial Teacher Trainees and Early Career Teachers.

What to Expect in Our Consultation Meetings

Our online consultation sessions, each an hour long, are a chance to discuss how we can best support Physics teaching in your area. Topics for the sessions include:

  • Preferred timing and locations for hub sessions
  • Key Physics topics and themes for half-termly sessions
  • Special interests and focus areas based on local needs

Whether you’re a teacher or a technician, we want your input to ensure that each hub provides relevant, impactful support. Our goal is to create a dynamic, responsive network of Physics educators who can tackle the unique challenges of teaching Physics.

All sessions are free of charge, and we welcome any teacher or technician looking to deepen their expertise and connect with a local Physics education network.
