Physics Partners in collaboration with the physics department of University of East Anglia (UEA), are running the Norwich Physics Hub to provide support to anyone wishing to improve their physics teaching practice and share knowledge with others in Norwich and the surrounding area. This hub provides a series of subject knowledge sessions for teacher trainees, early career teachers and experienced teachers who are not physics specialists.
This year, most of our Hubs will be delivering our brand-new Physics Practicals Plus programme, focusing on the GCSE Required Practicals that teachers have told us they most want support with.
These sessions are led by Eleanor Wylie, Physics Partners Coach.
We run regular face-to-face sessions with a focus on a key curriculum area. Sessions cover:
- Basic concepts
- Student misconceptions
- Learning methods
- Classroom activities
- Performing the required practical work
