Thank you for your interest in becoming a coach with Physics Partners.
We are a charity dedicated to addressing the growing need for confident and capable science teachers who can deliver physics at GCSE and A-level. Many of the teachers we support are Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or non-specialists, and our mission is to empower them with the skills and confidence to teach physics effectively.
Our programme is primarily delivered through regional hubs, with 90-minute sessions held each half term at host schools that are easily accessible to participating colleagues.
Our Expectations and Support
We set high expectations for coaching in our sessions, and these are clearly outlined in two key documents: our Coaching Standards and our Memorandum of Understanding for Coaches.
To support our coaches in preparing for sessions, we’ve developed a suite of comprehensive presentations and commentaries covering a wide range of common GCSE physics topics. These outstanding resources serve as a strong foundation, allowing coaches to tailor their delivery to the specific needs of their participants.
We recognise the time and expertise required for both preparation and delivery, and this is reflected in the remuneration of our coaches.
